If only every day in Winter were like this - it would be a doddle...
This - Iris unguicularis - is a great plant to know about. It needs the driest, sunniest, most neglected pocket of rubbishy soil, and flowers right now through to Spring....
And then the Magnolia. When that's out, we're home and dry.
