Homegrown elegance


Ok so the creator of these arrangements has her own cutting garden, but this sure beats a bunch of boring lilies. And all so easily grown - these are regular garden perennials and annuals, such as Achillea, Cornflowers and Dahlias...


The star plant, however, is Cerinthe major, gracefully drooping its glaucous blue leaves over the edge. As an annual this could be sown now or in early spring and is upright enough to stand in a window box:
